Bryant announces 2020 football schedule

The Bryant Bulldogs have announced their 2020 football schedule, which includes five home contests.

Bryant will open the 2020 season with a non-conference game on the road on Saturday, Sept. 5 at the Fordham Rams. The Bulldogs then open their home slate on Sept. 12 at Bulldog Stadium in Smithfield, R.I., against the Rhode Island Rams.

Two more non-conference matchups follow as Bryant travels to take on the Brown Bears on Sept. 19 and the Central Michigan Chippewas on Sept. 26. Central Michigan will be Bryant’s first-ever contest against a Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) opponent.

Bryant begins Northeast Conference (NEC) play on Oct. 3 at home in Smithfield against the Long Island Sharks. The Bulldogs are also scheduled to host Central Connecticut (Oct. 24), Robert Morris (Nov. 7), and Wagner (Nov. 21).

Road NEC opponents for Bryant in 2020 include Saint Francis Pa. (Oct. 10), Sacred Heart (Oct. 31), and Duquesne (Nov. 14).

  • 10/10 – at Saint Francis U
  • 10/24 – Central Connecticut
  • 10/31 – at Sacred Heart
  • 11/07 – Robert Morris
  • 11/14 – at Duquesne
  • 11/21 – Wagner

Bryant finished the 2019 season 4-8 overall and 3-4 in Northeast Conference play. It was the first season under new head coach Chris Merritt.
