The 2020 FCS Schedule kicked off in Week Zero on Saturday, Aug. 29 with one contest. Only a few teams played during the fall of 2020, with the majority playing in the Spring of 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The spring season concluded on Saturday, May 16, 2021 with the Sam Houston Bearkats defeating the South Dakota State Jackrabbits 23-21 at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas.
