The Auburn Tigers have scheduled home-and-home football series with the Baylor Bears and the UCLA Bruins, the schools announced on Thursday.
Auburn will travel to take on Baylor at McLane Stadium in Waco, Texas on Aug. 30, 2025. The following season, the Bears will make the trip to face the Tigers at Jordan-Hare Stadium in Auburn, Alabama on Sept. 5, 2026.
Auburn and Baylor first met on the gridiron in the 1954 Gator Bowl and last met in 1976 in Auburn. Baylor currently leads the overall series 2-1-1.
“We are excited to announce a home-and-home series with Auburn,” Baylor Vice President and Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Mack Rhoades said. “This is an exciting opportunity for our student-athletes to compete against a tradition-rich Power 5 opponent and for our fans to enjoy games against a top out-of-conference team.
“One of our goals is to provide a challenging schedule each and every season. Non-conference games like these, in addition to the Big 12’s true round-robin conference schedule, will help us continue to put our teams in position to compete for championships.”
Auburn and UCLA will kick off their home-and-home series at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California on Sept. 4. 2027. The Tigers will then host the Bruins at Jordan-Hare Stadium on Sept. 2, 2028.
The 2027 contest between Auburn and UCLA will mark their first-ever meeting on the gridiron, unless the two teams meet in a bowl or playoff game before then.

Wonderful news!
I like to see the scheduling of out of conference Home and Home series between major programs. I just can not help but wonder what will Baylor Football in 2025 and 2026? and what will UCLA be in 2027 and 2028? We can same the same for Auburn as well which has been unranked at the end of 5 of their last 10 seasons and in the Championship game twice.
I like this trend and I think it will continue. This is a good indication the power 5 schools are embracing the playoff format and the likely expansion of the format to 8 teams. Build your resume early in the season with solid wins or a good loss. No one knows what these programs will look like in 7 or 8 years, but we have a good idea what the landscape will when it comes to playing for a championship.
