2016 Big Ten football Homecoming kickoff times announced

The Big Ten Conference has announced football homecoming kickoff times for the 2016 season.

Specific networks for each game will be announced at a later date. They will be televised by either the Big Ten Network or an ABC/ESPN Network.

2016 BIG TEN HOMECOMING GAMES

Saturday, Oct. 1
Northwestern at Iowa – Noon ET
Rutgers at Ohio State – Noon ET
Purdue at Maryland – 3:30pm ET
Illinois at Nebraska – 3:30pm ET

Saturday, Oct. 8
Maryland at Penn State – Noon ET

Saturday, Oct. 15
Iowa at Purdue – Noon ET
Illinois at Rutgers – Noon ET
Nebraska at Indiana – 3:30pm ET
Northwestern at Michigan State – 3:30pm ET

Saturday, Oct. 22
Rutgers at Minnesota – Noon ET
Indiana at Northwestern – Noon ET
Illinois at Michigan – 3:30pm ET

Saturday, Oct. 29
Minnesota at Illinois – Noon ET

Saturday, Nov. 12
Illinois at Wisconsin – 3:30 p.m. ET

Why in the world would Wisky have their HC game in mid November? That’s just dumb.

Because their October home games are Ohio St. and Nebraska. Those games sell themselves.

What? Only 4 teams chose their home game against Illinois for homecoming? I guess that Northwestern decided that 11/26 (Thanksgiving weekend) was a little to late for homecoming, denying Illinois a chance to go 5 for 5.
