The BYU Cougars and the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets have scheduled a four-game home-and-home football series, BYU announced today.
Georgia Tech will host BYU at Bobby Dodd Stadium in Atlanta on October 13, 2012 and again on October 11, 2014.
BYU will host Georgia Tech at Lavell Edwards Stadium in Provo, Utah on October 12, 2013 and again on October 14, 2017.
The two schools have played twice in their history, a home-and-home series in 2002 and 2003. The Yellow Jackets won the 2002 contest in Atlanta 28-19, and the Cougars won the 2003 game in Provo 24-13.
Last week, BYU announced a home-and-home series with Utah in 2011 and 2012. They have also scheduled future games with Hawaii, Idaho, Louisiana Tech, New Mexico State, Notre Dame, San Jose State, UCF and West Virginia.
The Cougars will leave the Mountain West and become an independent in football for the 2011 season. All other sports will join the West Coast Conference.

This is another cap for BYU,this series with a BCS school adds heft to BYU’s future schedules. As far as easy games go….all the games with the lower tier WAC teams have to be considered cupcakes.
