Western Michigan and Notre Dame will face off in South Bend in 2020, FBSchedules.com has learned.
A copy of the contract for the game was obtained from Western Michigan by FBSchedules.com through a state Freedom of Information Act request.
According to the memo of agreement, Western Michigan and Notre Dame will play Sept. 19, 2020 in Notre Dame Stadium. This will be the second meeting between the schools. Notre Dame won the prior outing, 44-20, on Oct. 16, 2010.
Notre Dame will pay Western Michigan a $1,175,000 guarantee for the contest.
This game joins a previously announced 2018 and 2019 home-and-home between Western Michigan and Syracuse.

Notre Dame also beat WMU 42-0 in 1920.
ND has gotta cut back on the G5 games which means they might have to stop playing Navy every year (you want to look good in front of the CFP committee)
ND will never stop playing Navy. They have 10 p5 games most future years now (not 2019, but that year is insane). Every team in college football pays for home games, and ND pays a team that just went to the Cotton Bowl
Navy is not the problem for ND, recruiting is. It hard to get to the CFP when you are only winning 3 games.
