The Virginia Cavaliers have announced their 2012 football schedule, which features games against Penn State, TCU, Georgia Tech, Maryland, Miami and Virginia Tech.
Virginia opens the 2012 season with back-to-back non-conference games at home against Richmond on Sept. 1 and Penn State on Sept. 8. The final two non-ACC games for Virginia in 2012 are at TCU on Sept. 22 and home against Louisiana Tech on Sept. 29.
The Cavaliers open ACC play on Sept. 15 on the road at Georgia Tech. Virginia’s conference slate continues with games at Duke (Oct. 6), vs. Maryland (Oct. 13), vs. Wake Forest (Oct. 20), at NC State (Nov. 3), vs. Miami (Nov. 10) and vs. North Carolina (Thurs., Nov. 15; ESPN).
Virginia closes out the 2012 regular season on Nov. 24 at in-state rival Virginia Tech.
The 2012 ACC Championship Game will be played on Saturday, Dec. 1 at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, NC.
