The Utah State Aggies will play the Mississippi State Bulldogs in 2024, Utah State University Vice President and Director of Athletics John Hartwell announced on Monday.
Utah State will travel to take on Mississippi State at Davis Wade Stadium in Starkville, Miss., on Sept. 14, 2024. The game will mark the first-ever meeting between the two schools on the gridiron.
Mississippi State is the first announced non-conference opponent for Utah State in 2024.
In Mountain West Conference action in 2024, Utah State is scheduled to host Air Force, Fresno State, New Mexico, and San Diego State and travel to Boise State, Colorado State, Nevada, and Wyoming.
With the addition of Utah State, Mississippi State has completed their non-conference schedule for the 2024 season. The Bulldogs are slated to open the season at home against Eastern Kentucky on Aug. 31 before traveling to take on Arizona State on Sept. 7. The Bulldogs close out their non-conference slate at home on Nov. 2 against UMass.
In SEC play in 2024, Mississippi State is scheduled to host Arkansas, Auburn, Tennessee, and Texas A&M and play at Alabama, Kentucky, LSU, and Ole Miss.
Utah State is scheduled to open the 2020 season on Thursday, Sept. 3 at home in Logan, Utah, against the Washington State Cougars. Mississippi State is slated to open their season two days later on Saturday, Sept. 5 at home against the New Mexico Lobos.
