The UNLV Rebels will travel to Michigan in 2023 and play a home-and-home with North Texas in 2022 and 2026, UNLV announced on Friday.
UNLV will receive a $1.8 million payout for the Michigan trek on Sept. 9, 2023, which is a single-game record for the institution. The Wolverines claimed the schools’ lone prior meeting, a 28-7 result in Ann Arbor on Sept. 19, 2015. The contest joins a home tilt with Vanderbilt (Sept. 16) and trip to BYU (Nov. 4) on the 2023 calendar.
The Rebels will host the North Texas Mean Green on Sept. 17, 2022, with a return trip to Apogee Stadium in Denton, Texas, on Sept. 12, 2026. UNLV has won four of the five meetings with North Texas, with the lone loss coming via a 36-14 defeat in the 2014 Heart of Texas Bowl. That game marked the first gridiron battle featuring the two in 14 years.
The Mean Green are the third out-of-conference foe for UNLV in 2022, joining road games at California (Sept. 10) and Notre Dame (Sept. 24).
