The ULM Warhawks and the Army Black Knights have scheduled a home-and-home football series for 2022 and 2023, FBSchedules.com has learned.
A copy of the football game contract with Army West Point was obtained from the University of Louisiana-Monroe via a state public records request.
In the first game of the series, ULM will travel to take on Army at Michie Stadium in West Point, N.Y., on Sept. 24, 2022. The Warhawks will host the Black Knights the following season at Malone Stadium in Monroe, La., on Sept. 2, 2023, which will conclude the two-game series.
The 2022 meeting at Michie Stadium in West Point will mark the first-ever contest between ULM and Army on the gridiron.
With the addition of Army, ULM now has three scheduled non-conference games in 2022 and has completed their schedule in 2023. Other opponents scheduled for the 2022 season include Texas on Sept. 3 and Alabama on Sept. 17, both on the road.
ULM’s 2023 non-conference schedule includes a home contest against Lamar on Sept. 9 and road tilts at Texas A&M on Sept. 16 and Ole Miss on Nov. 18. The Army contest on Sept. 2 will be the season-opener.
Army, a Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) Independent, now has 10 games scheduled for the 2022 season and nine games scheduled for the 2023 season.
The Black Knights’ schedule in 2022 currently includes home contests against ULM (Sept. 24), Georgia State (Oct. 1), Colgate (Oct. 15), UConn (Nov. 19), and Air Force (date TBA) and road contests at Coastal Carolina (Sept. 3), Tennessee (Sept. 17), Wake Forest (Oct. 8), UMass (Nov. 26), and Navy (Dec. 10; in Philadelphia, Pa.).
Opponents for Army in 2023 include Ball State (Sept. 9), Boston College (Oct. 7), UMass (Oct. 28), and Coastal Carolina (Nov. 18) at home and ULM (Sept. 2), Syracuse (Sept. 23), LSU (Oct. 21), Air Force (date TBA), and Navy (Dec. 9; site TBA) on the road.
