The UL Lafayette Ragin’ Cajuns have completed their 2013 non-conference football schedule, The Advertiser has reported.
Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajuns will open the 2013 season at Arkansas on Aug. 31. The game could be played in either Little Rock or Fayetteville, UL Lafayette athletic director Scott Farmer said.
The Cajuns are 0-4 all-time against the Razorbacks, but most of the games have been competitive. UL Lafayette lost 9-7 in 1991, 24-13 in 1995, 38-17 in 1998, and 24-17 in 2002.
A week after taking on Arkansas, the Ragin’ Cajuns travel to Manhattan to face Kansas State (Sept. 7). The two schools last met in 2009 and the Cajuns upset the Wildcats 17-15 at home.
The remainder of UL Lafayette’s 2013 schedule includes a home contest against Nicholls State on Sept. 14 and a game at Akron on Sept. 21.
With only one non-conference game at home, the Cajuns will have just five home games in 2013. They will play seven games on the road.
