The UCLA Bruins have added the Fresno State Bulldogs to their 2024 football schedule, both schools announced on Tuesday.
UCLA will host Fresno State at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena on Sept. 14, 2024. The two schools are also scheduled to meet on Sept. 15, 2018 and Sept. 18, 2021. All three games are single-game contracts.
Fresno State has beaten UCLA in their last two meetings, 36-31 in 2008 and 17-9 in the 2003 Silicon Valley Classic. However, the Bruins still lead the overall series 6-2.
The addition of Fresno State gives UCLA two non-conference opponents for the 2024 season. The Bruins are slated to open the 2024 season at LSU on Aug. 31.
UCLA is the first announced non-conference opponent for Fresno State for the 2024 season.
“Anytime you can play an instate school like UCLA, you look hard and figure out the schedule and make it happen,” Fresno State Director of Athletics Jim Bartko said. “We have had some great games against the Bruins and the Red Wave loves to travel to SoCal.”
