The Citadel Bulldogs have announced their 2019 football schedule, which features a game at Georgia Tech.
The Citadel will open the 2019 season with four-consecutive non-conference games, first at home at Johnson Hagood Stadium in Charleston, South Carolina, on Saturday, Aug. 31 against the Towson Tigers.
The Bulldogs then head out for back-to-back road games at the Elon Phoenix on Sept. 7 and the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets on Sept. 14. The Citadel then returns home to host the Charleston Southern Buccaneers on Sept. 21.
Southern Conference (SoCon) action for The Citadel opens on the road at the Samford Bulldogs on Sept. 28. The Citadel then heads back to Charleston to host consecutive home contests against the VMI Keydets on Oct. 5 and the Western Carolina Catamounts on Oct. 12.
Next, The Citadel travels to face the Furman Paladins on Oct. 19 before returning home to host the Mercer Bears for Homecoming on Oct. 26.
On Nov. 2, The Citadel plays at the ETSU Buccaneers before enjoying their only open date of the season on Nov. 9.
The Citadel closes out the 2019 regular-season with a road contest at the Chattanooga Mocs on Nov. 16, followed by a home game against the Wofford Terriers on Nov. 23.
The Citadel finished the 2018 season 5-6 overall and 4-4 in SoCon play. The Bulldogs last won their conference championship in 2016 and appeared in the FCS Playoffs the same season.
