The Stanford Cardinal have announced their 2012 football schedule, which features games against Duke, Notre Dame, Arizona, California, Oregon, UCLA and USC.
Stanford opens the 2012 season at home on Sept. 1 against the San Jose State Spartans. The Cardinal also play non-conference games at home against Duke (Sept. 8) and at Notre Dame (Oct. 13).
Featured Pac-12 games for Stanford in 2012 include USC (Sept. 15), at California (Oct. 20), at Oregon (Nov. 17) and at UCLA (Nov. 24). The remainder of Stanford’s conference slate includes at Washington (Thurs. Sept. 27), Arizona (Oct. 6), Washington State (Oct. 27), at Colorado (Nov. 3) and Oregon State (Nov. 10).
The 2012 Pac-12 Championship Game will be played on Friday, Nov. 30 and will be hosted by the team with the best record in conference play.

Why do we play Cal in the middle of the season?
I can tell you one thing,SJSU will be very improved over 2011 and will give Stanford a quality game…..that 57-3 loss this year was beyond brutal. If SJSU can compete with the Cardinal,2012 might be a fun season…
