The Southeastern Louisiana Lions have released their 2020 football schedule, which includes nine Southland Conference contests.
Southeastern Louisiana University (SLU) will open the 2020 season on the road in New Orleans, La., on Thursday, Sept. 3 against the Tulane Green Wave. In seven previous meetings on the gridiron, the Green Wave are 7-0 against the Lions.
After an open date on Sept. 12, Southeastern Louisiana travels to take on the Jacksonville State Gamecocks on Sept. 19. The game is the second of a home-and-home series that began at SLU last season.
Southeastern Louisiana opens Southland Conference action on Sept. 26 at home at Strawberry Stadium in Hammond, La., against the McNeese Cowboys.
Other Southland Conference home contests for the Lions in 2020 include Northwestern State (Oct. 10; Hall of Fame Game), Abilene Christian (Oct. 24; Homecoming), Houston Baptist (Oct. 31), and Central Arkansas (Nov. 14; Senior Day).
Southeastern Louisiana will travel to take on Southland Conference foes Lamar (Oct. 3), Incarnate Word (Oct. 17), Stephen F. Austin (Nov. 7), and Nicholls (Thursday, Nov. 19; River Bell Classic).

Southeastern Louisiana finished the 2019 season 8-5 overall and 6-3 in conference play. The Lions advanced to the second-round of the FCS Playoffs, but fell at Montana, 73-28.
