The Samford Bulldogs have released their 2020 football schedule, which features eight Southern Conference contests and a game at Florida State.
Samford kicks off the 2020 season on Thursday, September 3 at home at Seibert Stadium in Birmingham, Ala., with a non-conference contest against the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles.
Other non-conference games for Samford in 2020 include a trip to Tallahassee, Fla., to take on the Florida State Seminoles on Sept. 12 and a trip to Kennesaw, Ga., to play the Kennesaw State Owls on Oct. 3.
Samford will open Southern Conference (SoCon) action on Sept. 19 in Johnson City, Tenn., against the East Tennessee State Buccaneers. Other SoCon road opponents for Samford in 2020 include the Furman Paladins (Oct. 10), The Citadel Bulldogs (Nov. 7), and the Chattanooga Mocs (Nov. 21).
SoCon opponents visiting Seibert Stadium in 2020 include the Wofford Terriers (Sept. 26), Western Carolina Catamounts (Oct. 24), Mercer Bears (Oct. 31), and VMI Keydets (Nov. 14).

Samford closed out the 2019 season with a 52-0 loss at the Auburn Tigers. The Bulldogs finished with a 5-7 overall record and a 4-4 record in SoCon action. Samford is now 32-26 (23-17 SoCon) in five seasons under head coach Chris Hatcher.
