The Rutgers Scarlet Knights have announced their 2012 football schedule, which features games against Army, Cincinnati, Louisville, Pittsburgh, Syracuse and UConn.
Rutgers opens the 2012 season on Sept. 1 at Tulane followed by their home opener on Sept. 8 against Howard. Other non-conference games include home contests against Kent State (Sept. 15) and Army (Nov. 10) and at Arkansas (Sept. 22).
The Scarlet Knights open Big East play on Sept. 15 at USF. The date of that game could be moved to Thursday, Sept. 13 or Friday, Sept. 14 to accommodate television.
Other Big East games for Rutgers include vs. Connecticut (Oct. 6), vs. Syracuse (Oct. 13), at Temple (Oct. 20), at Cincinnati (Nov. 17) and at Pittsburgh (Nov. 24).
Rutgers finishes the 2012 season at home on Thursday, Nov. 29 against Louisville (7:30 p.m. ET – ESPN).
