The Rutgers Scarlet Knights have announced their 2011 football schedule, which features games against Army, Navy, North Carolina, Connecticut, Pittsburgh and West Virginia.
Rutgers will open the 2011 season on Thursday, September 1 at home against the North Carolina Central Eagles. The Scarlet Knights will then travel to Kenan Memorial Stadium in Chapel Hill to take on the North Carolina Tar Heels (9/10).
After hosting Ohio on September 24 and Navy on October 15, the Scarlet Knights complete the non-conference portion of their schedule against Army at Yankee Stadium on November 12.
Rutgers kick off Big East play at Syracuse on October 1, followed by a home game against Pittsburgh October 8. The Scarlet Knights will then travel to Louisville on Friday, October 21 before hosting three consecutive conference games vs. West Virginia (10/29), USF (11/5) and Cincinnati (11/19). Rutgers will conclude the 2011 season by visiting Connecticut on November 26.
