The Portland State Vikings will play at the Washington Huskies in 2022, FBSchedules.com has learned.
Portland State will travel to take on Washington at Husky Stadium in Seattle on September 10 or September 17, 2022, according to a copy of the contract obtained from Portland State University via a state public records request.
The exact date will be determined by UW no later than December 31, 2018. The Vikings will receive a $500,000 guarantee from the Huskies for playing the game, per the contract.
Portland State is a member of the Big Sky Conference in the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS). Last season, the Vikings finished the season winless at 0-11 under fourth year head coach Bruce Barnum.
Washington is the 11th future FBS opponent that Portland State has lined up. Others include Nevada (2018), Oregon (2018 & 2023), Arkansas (2019), Boise State (2019), Arizona (2020), Oregon State (2020), Hawaii (2021), Washington State (2021), San Jose State (2022), and Wyoming (2023).
Portland State is the first known non-conference opponent for Washington for the 2022 season.
