The Oregon Ducks have completed their 2012 non-conference football schedule with the addition of a home game against the Fresno State Bulldogs.
All three of Oregon’s 2012 non-conference games are at Autzen Stadium in Eugene. Oregon opens the season on September 1 against Arkansas State. The Ducks also host Fresno State on September 8 and Montana State on September 15.
Dates for the 2012 Pac-12 games haven’t been announced yet, but Oregon will host Arizona, Colorado, Stanford and Washington. The Ducks will travel to face Arizona State, California, Oregon State, USC and Washington State.
Oregon opens the 2011 season on Saturday, September 3 against the LSU Tigers at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas (8:00 p.m. ET – ABC).
Update: Tennessee Tech has replaced Montana State on Oregon’s 2012 football schedule.
typical weak schedule that we now expect from the major bcs teams. too bad the little sisters of the poor weren’t available. I guess ohio state has them locked up.
Cupcakes taste good.
I’m really glad Texas Tech lost a game the one year they were undefeated towards the end of the year and had played to FCS teams. I really hope no school ever gets into the NC game after having played two FCS schools.
I’d rather see you play 11 games with only one FCS than 12 with 2 FCS. But I guess that would lose all the money for a sold out demolition of an extra FCS team….
Fresno State is no cupcake…while Hill sometimes over schedules his depth, the Bulldogs still show up to battle….this will be a good game
Top teams just don’t wanna come to Autzen. More often times when their scheduled, the teams back out later – Georgia is the latest example to back out of a home and home agreement with the Ducks. Sometimes, you just have to take what you can get. Gonna be nice to renew the series with Fresno, though. They’ve given Oregon some tough battles in the past.
Paul D,
SEC teams every year play 2 FCS schools and another weak game. Look at Auburn last year, they play Arkansas State and Chattanooga.
Top teams are scared to come to autzen, they know they will lose. And fresno state is no cupcake either. They have the ballz to come to autzen.
Oregon was scheduled to play two FBS teams (Kansas State and New Mexico) but both backed out. Montana State is also trying to get out of their visit so the non-conference schedule may get remade yet again.
Pretty sure they did back out, I think the Ducks are now playing Tennessee Tech instead. Our strength of schedule is going to rated so low next year, since we’re not in the SEC. Rose Bowl again at best.
Not Oregons fault. Kansas state and new mexico backed out and they couldnt find another team in time.
