The Notre Dame Fighting Irish have scheduled their Shamrock Series games for the 2015 and 2016 seasons. One will take them to a historic baseball stadium, and the other to a familiar venue.
The 2015 Shamrock Series game will be played on November 21, 2015 at Fenway Park in Boston. Notre Dame will take on Boston College in the first football game played at the home of the Green Monster since Dec. 1, 1968.
The Boston Patriots of the NFL played their five seasons at Fenway Park, and Boston College played there from 1914 to 1956.
Boston College will also host Notre Dame during the 2017 season at Alumni Stadium in Chestnut Hill.
Notre Dame will return to the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas on November 12, 2016 to take on the Army Black Knights. The Irish played their first Shamrock Series game there against Washington State in 2009.
Notre Dame officially announced the Shamrock Series games this morning along with their complete 2014, 2015, and 2016 football schedules.
Yesterday, it was announced that Purdue would take on Notre Dame in the 2014 Shamrock Series game at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. The game, which was previously a home game for Notre Dame, will be played on Sept. 13.
The Shamrock Series, an off-campus home football game for the Fighting Irish each season, was established by Notre Dame in 2009. The game helps promote Notre Dame’s brand across the country.

Can’t believe N. Dame agreed to a neutral site game in a venue with under 65,000 seats.
Absurd isn’t it?
