The Norfolk State University Spartans have announced their 2020 football schedule, which features games at Charlotte and East Carolina.
Norfolk State will welcome Division II Virginia State to William “Dick” Price Stadium on Sept. 5 to open the campaign, with the Charlotte and East Carolina trips in the following weeks on Sept. 12 and Sept. 19 as part of four straight away from the Tidewater region.
The Spartans then traverse the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) portion of their schedule, beginning with visits to Florida A&M (Sept. 26) and North Carolina A&T (Oct. 3). Norfolk State also visits Morgan State (Oct. 31) and South Carolina State (Nov. 21) in conference play.
Conference games in Norfolk will include visits from Howard (Oct. 10), Bethune-Cookman (Oct. 17), North Carolina Central (Nov. 7), and Delaware State (Nov. 14).

Norfolk State finished the 2019 season 5-7 (4-4 MEAC) under fourth-year coach Latrell Scott, winning three of its final four games. That finish was good for fifth in the conference.
