The Nebraska Cornhuskers have completed their 2012 football schedule with the addition of a home game against Idaho State, the school announced today.
Nebraska opens the 2012 season with four consecutive non-conference games. Southern Miss visits Lincoln on Sept. 1 before the Cornhuskers travel to face UCLA on Sept. 8. Nebraska returns to Memorial Stadium to host Arkansas State on Sept. 15 followed by Idaho State on Sept. 22.
The Huskers open Big Ten play at home on Sept. 29 when the Wisconsin Badgers visit for Homecoming. NU then hits the road for games at Ohio State on Oct. 6 and, after an off week, at Northwestern on Oct. 20.
Michigan visits on Oct. 27 before a trip to face Michigan State on Nov. 3. The Cornhuskers then host Penn State on Nov. 10 followed by Minnesota on Nov. 17. Their final regular season game is on Friday, Nov. 23 at Iowa.
The 2012 Big Ten Championship Game will be played on Saturday, Dec. 1 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, IN.
Earlier today, Nebraska also announced the following games:
- Home vs. Florida Atlantic on 08/30/2014
- Home vs. BYU on 09/05/2015
- Home vs. South Alabama on 09/12/2015 & 08/31/2019
Football Schedules:
So. Miss and UCLA aren’t too shabby for OOC games even if UCLA will be a bit down next year while they adjust to their new coach. While Idaho State will be a lay-up,at least Nebraska fans will treat them with respect and courtesy.
I think the Huskers will be in much better shape for the 2nd year of the Big 10 season….
Idaho State? C’mon, Nebraska, you can do better than that!
Actually outside of Idaho St. this a sneaky-tough schedule – by today’s standards – w/ always-solid Southern Miss, @ UCLA, and last year’s 10-win Arkansas St. team.
If they would’ve chose NDSU instead of Idaho St., then they’d really not be taking it easy.
Agreed Tim…though Freeze quitting after just one year will leave Ark. State in a mess…and just heard WVU just signed the DC of the Red Wolves. But UCLA and So. Miss will present a solid test for the Blackshirts…
