Wednesday, February 2 is National Signing Day 2011. Thousands of recruits from across the country will sign letters of intent to play college football at their chosen school.
Alabama currently holds the top spot in the Rivals.com 2011 Team Rankings. Texas, Florida State, LSU and USC round out the Top 5. Of course, those rankings are fluid and will change throughout the next few days.
Listed below are a few links for following the action on Signing Day.
Feel free to start or join a recruiting discussion in the comments below. Who do you think will sign the nations top class? How is your team doing?
Hey Kevin….I’ll start this off….
San Jose State looks to have a fair class this year, lot of JC types as to provide quick depth, the 2011 schedule is once again brutal with SJS facing Stanford,UCLA and Navy among others. I am hoping Coach Mac will try and recruit some run blockers on the O-Line so the Spartans can once again at least TRY and run the ball….
I’ll be the first to admit that I don’t know much about West Coast recruiting. Being a Georgia fan, it’s all SEC-ACC down here.
Looks like my Noles will finish first. Jimbo really has it going down there!
Auburn up to no. 1 now in one ranking. Gonna change all day.
Georgia is picking up some steam after losing out on Jeoffrey Pagan. Kent Turene strutted into his ceremony wearing Texas Tech gear, but then signed with the Dawgs.
Looks like San Jose State nabbed a 3 star QB from U of Washington…Joseph Gray of Dorsey in Los Angeles. So far MacIntyre has signed 4 3 stars prospects, quite a few for us…
The top running back recruit changed his mind and went to Oregon instead of USC
Crowell was the top RB on some lists, he went to Georgia. Who was the RB that went to the Ducks?
I think his last name was DeAnthony Thomas.
He originally committed to USC, but Oregon “stole” him, and he changed his decision.
Looking at SJSU’s list….Rivals.com has ranked 112th (out of 120).
Little concerned at the size of the linemen, all seem a little undersized at 250-270 pounds. Was hoping for a better class but not many players want to join a 1-12 team….
Nice class for the Gators, all things considered (coaching change, mediocre season) headlined by Driskel. Another #1 QB recruit. We’ll see what happens.
TCU 2 the Big East yay! i hope that the Big-12(or whatever they r/Texas Suckhorns) lose recruits and the big-12 falls apart and Texas loses tons of money, Vince Young sucks, Texas Fans suck, hey there’s no more steers in texas, they all went to McDonalds in Oklahoma, guess whats left, thats right, suckhorn fans, if y’all stopped being so full of urselves and talkin smack and bein bullys maybe the rest of the country wouldn’t hate u texas, ever wonder why the clownhorns are hated so much by the rest of the nation, its cause ur a bunch of disrespectful &$@#’s, yeah i said it, ur gonna lose, texas will b bad 4 awhile till they figure it out, hooray 4 karma!
