The Mississippi Valley State Delta Devils have announced their 2020 football schedule, which includes 11 contests overall.
Mississippi Valley State begins their 2020 regular-season schedule with four of their first five games on the road. The Delta Devils open with back-to-back games at Nicholls State on Sept. 5 and at Sam Houston State on Sept. 12.
MVSU opens their home schedule at Rice-Totten Stadium in Itta Bena, Miss., on Sept. 19 when they play host to Alcorn State for their first Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) game of the season.
The Delta Devils then head out for another pair of road games, this time at Alabama State on Sept. 26 and at Grambling State on Oct. 3.
A trio of consecutive home games follows as Mississippi Valley State welcomes Alabama A&M (Oct. 10), Virginia-Lynchburg (Oct. 17; Homecoming), and Arkansas-Pine Bluff (Oct. 24) to Rice-Totten Stadium.
Next, the Delta Devils play another pair of road games at Jackson State on Oct. 31 and at Texas Southern on Nov. 7.
After an open date on Nov. 14, Mississippi Valley State wraps up their 2020 schedule at home in Itta Bena against Prairie View A&M on Nov. 21.

The Delta Devils finished the 2019 season 2-9 overall and 1-6 in conference play. MVSU hasn’t finished a season over .500 since going 6-5 in consecutive seasons in 2005 and 2006.
Virginia-Lynchburg? They are the equivalent of a Division III university and are a member of the National Christian College Athletic Association. The student population of Virginia-Lynchburg is 205!
This should be the biggest mismatch in Division I football this season.
