The Michigan Wolverines have added the Appalachian State Mountaineers to their 2014 football schedule, the school announced today.
Michigan will host Appalachian State in their 2014 season opener on August 30. The Mountaineers upset the Wolverines 34-32 in 2007, the final season under head coach Lloyd Carr.

The Wolverines, who also travel to face Notre Dame on September 6, need two more non-conference games to complete their 2014 schedule.
Big Ten games for the Wolverines in 2014 include at Indiana, Michigan State, at Minnesota, Penn State, Iowa, at Nebraska, Northwestern and at Ohio State.
