The Miami Hurricanes and Nebraska Cornhuskers have agreed to a home-and-home football series, UM Athletic Director Kirby Hocutt announced on Friday. The Hurricanes will visit Lincoln, Nebraska on September 20, 2014 and the Cornhuskers will visit Miami, Florida on September 12, 2015.
Miami and Nebraska have met 10 times since 1951, with 6 of those games being played during the postseason. The overall series is tied at 5 games each. The Hurricanes were victorious in the last matchup, winning 37-14 in the Rose Bowl and claiming the 2001 National Championship.
The Hurricanes also won the National Championship in 1983 after beating the Cornhuskers 31-30 in the Orange Bowl.
