The Louisville Cardinals have announced their 2011 football schedule, which features games against Kentucky, North Carolina, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh and West Virginia.
Louisville’s season opener will be Thursday, September 1 at home against the Murray State Racers. A week later, Louisville will host FIU on Friday, September 9.
On September 17, the Cards travel to Lexington to take on in-state rival Kentucky at Commonwealth Stadium. After a home game against Marshall on October 1, the Cardinals close out the non-conference portion of their schedule by visiting North Carolina on October 8.
Louisville opens Big East play against Cincinnati at Paul Brown Stadium on October 15. The Cards will then have back-to-back home games against Rutgers (10/21) and Syracuse (10/29).
Louisville travels to West Virginia on November 5, followed by a home game against Pitt on October 12. The Cards will close the 2011 season with back-to-back road games at UConn (11/19) and at USF (11/25).
