The Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns have added the Michigan State Spartans to their 2024 football schedule, the school announced Thursday.
The matchup, slated for Sept. 14, 2024, will be contested at Spartan Stadium in East Lansing, Michigan. This will be Louisiana’s first game against a Big Ten foe since Matt Eller booted through a 27-yard field goal with 1:36 remaining to help Illinois hold off the Cajuns, 20-17, in Champaign in 2008.
The road tilt marks the third game added to Louisiana’s 2024 docket. Tulane will visit Cajun Field in Lafayette on Saturday, Sept. 21, with the Cajuns hitting the road for Las Cruces, New Mexico, to take on New Mexico State on Saturday, Oct. 19.
Michigan State will host Florida Atlantic Aug. 31 to kick off the 2024 campaign, with a trip to Boston College Oct. 21 also helping comprise the 2024 slate.
