The Kansas Jayhawks have announced their 2012 football schedule, which features games against Northern Illinois, Rice, Kansas State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, TCU, Texas and West Virginia.
Kansas opens the 2012 season with three straight non-conference games: home vs. South Dakota State (Sept. 1), home vs. Rice (Sept. 8) and at Northern Illinois (Sept. 22).
The Jayhawks open conference play at home on Sept. 15 against the TCU Horned Frogs. The game will be TCU’s first in the Big 12.
After an open date, Kansas travels to face in-state rival Kansas State on Oct. 6. The Jayhawks then return home to host Oklahoma State on Oct. 13 before heading to Norman to take on Oklahoma on Oct. 20.
Texas visits Memorial Stadium on Oct. 27 for Kansas’ Homecoming game. Kansas then travels to Baylor (Nov. 3) and Texas Tech (Nov. 10) and hosts Iowa State (Nov. 17).
The Jayhawks close out the 2012 regular season on Dec. 1 in Morgantown against the West Virginia Mountaineers.
