The Houston Cougars have announced their 2011 football schedule, which features games against Louisiana Tech, UCLA, East Carolina, Marshall, SMU and UTEP.
Four non-conference games are at the top of the 2011 schedule for the Cougars. They open the season on September 3 with a visit from the UCLA Bruins, followed by games at North Texas on September 10 and at Louisiana Tech on September 17.
Houston’s final non-conference game is at home on September 24 against the Georgia State Panthers, an FCS team who played their inaugural season in 2010.
Conference USA play begins on September 1 on the road at UTEP. The remainder of Houston’s conference schedule includes East Carolina (10/08), Marshall (10/22), Rice (10/29), at UAB (11/05), at Tulane (11/12), SMU (11/19) and at Tulsa (11/26).
The Conference USA Championship Game will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2011 and will be hosted by the team with the highest winning percentage in conference play.
