The Houston Baptist Huskies have released their 2020 football schedule, which includes eight conference contests.
Houston Baptist opens the 2020 season on Saturday, Sept. 5 in a non-conference contest at the North Texas Mean Green. The Huskies open their home schedule the following week on Sept. 12 at Husky Stadium in Houston, Texas, against the Texas Wesleyan Rams.
A trip to take on Texas Southern on Sept. 19 will conclude the non-conference portion of Houston Baptist’s 2020 football schedule.
Houston Baptist opens Southland Conference action on Sept. 26 at Northwestern State, which is followed by an open date on Oct. 3. Remaining road contests for the Huskies include Lamar (Oct. 17), Southeastern Louisiana (Oct. 31), and Incarnate Word (Nov. 7).
The Huskies first home Southland Conference game is scheduled for Oct. 10 against McNeese for Family Weekend. Other home opponents include Nicholls (Oct. 24), Abilene Christian (Nov. 14; Homecoming), and Sam Houston State (Nov. 21; Senior Day/ Military & First Responder Appreciation Day).
Houston Baptist finished the 2019 season 5-7 overall and 2-6 in conference play. The Huskies have not had a winning season in the history of their program, which began in 2013.
