The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets have added the Bowling Green Falcons to their 2023 football schedule and have made some adjustments to their 2021 schedule, the school announced on Wednesday.
Georgia Tech will host Bowling Green at Bobby Dodd Stadium in Atlanta, Ga.. on Sept. 30, 2023. In their first and only meeting on the gridiron, Georgia Tech defeated Bowling Green 63-17 in Atlanta in 2018.
The addition of Bowling Green gives Georgia Tech three non-conference opponents for the 2023 season. The Yellow Jackets are also scheduled to play at Ole Miss on Sept. 16 and close the regular-season at home against in-state rival Georgia on Nov. 25.
Bowling Green was previously scheduled to play at Louisiana Tech on Sept. 30, 2023. As a result of scheduling Georgia Tech, Bowling Green has pushed their game at Louisiana Tech back six seasons to Sept. 22, 2029, per their official website.
The Falcons’s 2023 slate also includes contests at Liberty on Sept. 2 and at Michigan on Sept. 16.
Georgia Tech has also announced a couple of date changes for their previously scheduled games in 2021. The Yellow Jackets will now host Northern Illinois to open the season Sept. 4, which is three weeks earlier than the originally scheduled date of Sept. 25.
Additionally, Georgia Tech’s previously scheduled season-opener on Sept. 4 against Kennesaw State has been pushed back one week to Sept. 11, 2021.
The remainder of Georgia Tech’s 2021 non-conference schedule includes Notre Dame on the road on Nov. 20 and Georgia at home on Nov. 27.
