The Furman Paladins and the North Carolina A&T Aggies have scheduled a home-and-home football series for the 2021 and 2025 seasons, Furman announced on Wednesday.
Furman will host the first game of the series at Paladin Stadium in Greenville, S.C., on September 4, 2021. The Paladins will travel to take on the Aggies at Aggie Stadium in Greensboro, N.C., four seasons later to close out the series on September 13, 2025.
The 2021 contest will mark the first-ever meeting between the two schools on the football field.
Furman is a member of the Southern Conference (SoCon), while North Carolina A&T competes in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC).
The addition of North Carolina A&T tentatively completes the non-conference portion of Furman’s 2021 football schedule. The Paladins are also scheduled to host the Colgate Raiders on Sept. 11 and play at the North Carolina State Wolfpack on Sept. 18.
Furman now has two non-conference opponents scheduled for the 2025 season. In addition to playing at North Carolina A&T, Furman will travel to take on the Clemson Tigers on Nov. 22 that season.
North Carolina A&T has tentatively completed their 2021 non-conference football schedule with the addition of Furman. The Aggies are also scheduled to host the Charleston Southern Buccaneers on Sept. 11 and travel to take on the Duke Blue Devils on a date to be announced (previously set for Sept. 4).
Furman is the first scheduled non-conference opponent for North Carolina A&T in 2025.
