Four Conference USA teams have added non-conference opponents to complete their 2021 football schedules, it was revealed on Wednesday.
All four non-conference games involve teams from the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) and were included in the release of the 2021 Conference USA football schedule.
The UAB Blazers will take on the Jacksonville State Gamecocks of the Ohio Valley Conference on Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2021, at the Cramton Bowl in Montgomery, Ala. UAB is likely playing on the road until their new home, Protective Stadium, is complete.
The following day on Thursday, Sept. 2, the FIU Panthers will host the LIU Sharks of the Northeast Conference (NEC). LIU has been a member of the NEC since 2019.
The third newly released matchup is the Monmouth Hawks of the Big South Conference traveling to take on the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders. The game is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 4.
The fourth and final newly revealed matchup features the Grambling State Tigers of the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) playing at the Southern Miss Golden Eagles on Saturday, Sept. 11.
The 2021 Conference USA football schedule kicks off this season in Week Zero on Saturday, Aug. 28 with the UTEP Miners traveling to face New Mexico State. Conference action begins on Saturday, Sept. 18 with Middle Tennessee at UTSA and UAB at North Texas.
