The postponed Florida Atlantic at Georgia Southern football game has been rescheduled for Saturday, December 5 both schools announced on Wednesday.
The game, previously scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 19, 2020 at Paulson Stadium in Statesboro, Ga., was postponed due to contact tracing issues at Florida Atlantic amid the novel coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.
Georgia Southern is 1-1 so far this season following a narrow 27-26 home victory over the Campbell Camels and a road loss at the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns, 20-18.
The Eagles are next scheduled to play on Saturday, Oct. 3 when they travel to take on the ULM Warhawks. The game is set for 7:00pm ET and it will be streamed via ESPN+.
Florida Atlantic has yet to play a game this season after their game at Georgia Southern on Sept. 19 and their home contest against the USF Bulls last weekend were both postponed. The Owls are scheduled to host the Charlotte 49ers this weekend on Saturday, Oct. 3. The game will be televised by ESPNU at 4:00pm ET.
