The 2010 college football season begins on Thursday, September 4. A full slate of games are on tap for this weekend.
The entire USA Today Top 25 will be in action, including no. 1 Alabama and the rest of the Top 5 – Ohio State, Florida, Texas and Boise State.
ESPN Gameday will broadcast live from Atlanta, Georgia, the site of the 2010 Chick-fil-A College Kickoff game between the LSU Tigers and the North Carolina Tar Heels.
- Marshall at Ohio State (2) – Thu., Sept. 2, 2010
The Buckeyes beat the Herd 24-21 in their first and only meeting in 2004. The game will be televised by BTN at 7:30 p.m. ET.
- Pittsburgh (15) at Utah (24) – Thu., Sept. 2, 2010
Utah beat Pitt 35-7 in their first and only meeting in 2004. The game will be televised by Versus at 8:30 p.m. ET.
- Illinois at Missouri – Sat., Sept. 4, 2010
The game will be held at the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis, MO and will be televised by FSN at 12:30 p.m. ET.
- Kentucky at Louisville – Sat., Sept. 4, 2010
Kentucky leads the overall series 13-9. The game will be televised by ABC and ESPN Gameplan at 3:30 p.m. ET.
- Connecticut at Michigan – Sat., Sept. 4, 2010
This will be the first meeting between the two schools. The game will be televised by ABC and ESPN Gameplan at 3:30 p.m. ET.
- UCLA at Kansas State – Sat., Sept. 4, 2010
UCLA beat Kansas State last year 23-9 in Pasadena. The game will be televised by ABC, ESPN2 and ESPN Gameplan at 3:30 p.m. ET.
- San Jose State at Alabama (1) – Sat., Sept. 4, 2010
The defending national champions start the 2010 season against the Spartans from the WAC. The game will be televised by ESPN Gameplan at 7:00 p.m. ET.
- Oregon State (22) a TCU (7) – Sat., Sept. 4, 2010
This will be the first meeting between the two schools. The game will be televised by ESPN at 7:45 p.m. ET.
- LSU (16) v. North Carolina (18) – Sat., Sept. 4, 2010
The Tigers and Tar Heels face off in the 2010 Chick-fil-A College Kickoff at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta. The game will be televised by ABC at 8:00 p.m. ET.
- Cincinnati at Fresno State – Sat., Sept. 4, 2010
The Bearcats beat the Bulldogs 28-20 last year in their first ever meeting. The game will be televised by ESPN2 at 10:00 p.m. ET.
