The Delaware State Hornets have announced their 2020 football schedule, which includes six home contests.
Delaware State opens the 2020 season on Saturday, Sept. 5 with a non-conference contest at home at Alumni Stadium in Dover, Del., against the UAlbany Great Danes.
The following week on Sept. 12, Delaware State opens Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) action on the road against the South Carolina State Bulldogs.
Delaware State returns home to host the Saint Augustine’s Falcons on Sept. 19, which is their second of three non-conference contests. The Hornets host MEAC foe North Carolina A&T the following week on Sept. 26 before their only open date of the season on Oct. 3.
The Morgan State Bears are scheduled to visit Alumni Stadium on Oct. 10 for DSU’s Homecoming before the Hornets travel to take on the Howard Bison on Oct. 17.
Delaware State then hosts back-to-back contests at home against the North Carolina Central Eagles on Oct. 24 and the Florida A&M Rattlers on Oct. 31.
The Hornets close out the 2020 regular-season with three consecutive contests on the road. Delaware State travels to face Bethune-Cookman on Nov. 7 and Norfolk State on Nov. 14, both MEAC opponents, before finishing at rival Delaware on Nov. 21.

Delaware State finished the 2019 season 2-10 overall and 1-7 in MEAC play. The Hornets haven’t finished with a winning record since going 6-5 in 2012.
