The Connecticut Huskies have announced their 2011 football schedule, which features games against Vanderbilt, Iowa State, West Virginia, Rutgers, and Syracuse.
Connecticut’s season opener will be Thursday, September 1 at home against the Fordham Rams. A week later, the Huskies travel to Vanderbilt Stadium in Nashville to take on the Vanderbilt Commodores (09/10).
The Huskies will host Iowa State on Friday, September 16, followed by a game at Buffalo on September 24. They host Western Michigan on October 1 which closes out the non-conference portion of their schedule.
UConn will open Big East play at West Virginia (10/8), followed by a home game vs USF (10/15). The Huskies will then travel to Heinz Field to take on Pittsburgh on Wednesday, October 26. The Huskies will then have three straight Big East home games against Syracuse (11/5), Louisville (11/19) and Rutgers (11/26). UConn will finish the the regular season with a visit to Cincinnati on December 3.
