The Conference USA Championship Game for 2017 is set with the Florida Atlantic Owls hosting the North Texas Mean Green. The game will be played on Saturday, Dec. 2 at FAU Stadium in Boca Raton, Florida.
Lane Kiffin and the Florida Atlantic Owls clinched the East Division of Conference USA by going undefeated at 9-3 overall. FAU will be making their first C-USA Football Championship Game appearance.
North Texas clinched the West Division by one game over UAB and Southern Miss. The Mean Green went 7-1 in C-USA play and are 9-3 overall. UNT is also making their first-ever appearance in the C-USA Football Championship.
Florida Atlantic and North Texas met on the gridiron earlier this season in Boca Raton. The Owls defeated the Mean Green 69-31 in that contest.
ESPN currently projects Florida Atlantic to play San Diego State in the New Mexico Bowl and for North Texas to take on Army in the Armed Forces Bowl.
