NBC should trade the rights to next year’s Indy 500 to Fox for the ability to show OSU-UM at night, which in turn would create a great doubleheader with the Coca-Cola 600.
it has nothing to do with the media rights cause unless BOTH yes that not one over the other schools agree to play at night it will NOT happen otherwise if you don’t like that then record the game & watch it in primetime that night
Z-Man is always going to keep saying this about UM-OSU every year at this time of year until FOX decides somehow to say it aint broadcasting UM-OSU at High noon again, which i doubt happens considering the ratings they get for the game.
It could get even higher, perhaps Super Bowl-level, ratings if played at night, which is more friendly to West Coast viewers than the noon ET slot.
That is totally impossible there is no way on god’s earth FOX can do races in one day NBC is good with Indy 500 & FOX is good with Coca-Cola 600
It’s time for Z-Man to cut it out on having Michigan-Ohio State to play at night.
Here what I want CBS to do for College Football Telecast next year during Thanksgiving Weekend. 11/29/24 Black Friday Colorado State vs Air Force 2:30PM 11/30/24 Big Ten Doubleheader Michigan vs Ohio State Noon To Be Determined 3:30PM FOX will get next year’s Nebraska vs Iowa 11/29/24.
Have another option for Thanksgiving Weekend College Football Schedule for 2024 CBS to show Nebraska vs Iowa Friday Afternoon with 1:30PM local kickoff 11/29 & CBS to show Michigan vs Ohio State with traditional Noon kickoff & CBS later show Mountain West Colorado State vs Air Force with 1:30PM local kickoff. Notre Dame vs USC would make a fantastic fit for FOX 12:30PM local kickoff & same goes for Washington vs Oregon in Friday Primetime on NBC for next year for West Coast newcomers to Big Ten.
no college football game will these days no matter when it is played will reach super bowl numbers for ratings in the states ever
114% agree with you Carl & Dan is very happy with traditional Noon Kickoff with Michigan & Ohio State looking forward to FOX showing game this year & CBS would make a perfect fit next year with SEC heading to ABC & would like to see NBC do Michigan & Ohio State & does not have be played at night sorry Z-Man however it might have to bump Grambling & Southern Bayou Classic to USA Network.
If NBC is going to air UM-OSU they will want it at night.
If realignment has taught us anything it is that traditions are allowed to fall by the wayside. If we can accept rivalries ending through realignment then we can accept UM-OSU being played at night starting next year.
@KevinKelleyFB,
IMO, Rivalry Week = good in 2023.
IMO, playing your Rival the 2nd to last Week of the Season is critically close enough to the end that the hype is =ly good.
I hope that this flexibility in scheduling will make Rivalry Weeks an integral part of future Conference & non conference Plans.
It’s time for Z-Man to cut it out on having Michigan-Ohio State to play at night.
I made a good point in the comment I made at 2:25 PM today.
So let’s have the noon tradition for UM-OSU go out with a bang this year, preferably with a close game won by OSU.
I will no longer have reply with you Z-Man if you want to go fight go join the United States Navy. Happy Thanksgiving!!!
Despite 42-0 Penn State shutout over Michigan State would like to see NBC do Big Ten Friday evening game next year two Big Ten Great Northwest newcomers Washington Huskies & Oregon Ducks would be excellent prime candidates. Please,Please Z-Man do not reply this Commentary & keep your dream of your beloved night College Football games to yourself & please stay out it greatly appreciate it.
Besides Thanksgiving weekend would like to see NBC do couple additional Big Ten Friday Evening Football games only should Notre Dame occupied Saturday evening time slot plus I really like to see College Football on regular/free TV in Primetime on Fridays.
With NBC getting last PGA Tour Golf Tournament My suggestion is that NBC do Friday Evening Game Western Michigan At Wisconsin 8/30.
