College football rankings for week 5 have been released. Alabama remains the top-ranked team, while Texas and Kentucky made the biggest jump in both polls.

Texas, which upset then No. 17 TCU 31-16, moved into the AP Poll at No. 18 and into the Coaches Poll at No. 22.

Kentucky also moved into both the AP Poll and the Coaches Poll at No. 17 after upsetting then No. 14 Mississippi State 28-7.

Duke moved into the Week 5 polls to No. 22 in the AP Poll and No. 23 in the Coaches Poll. Cal and Texas Tech also moved into the AP Poll at 24th and 25th, respectively.

In the FCS Coaches Poll, North Dakota State remained on top with all 26 first-place votes. The Bison are followed by James Madison, South Dakota State, Kennesaw State, and Eastern Washington.
