The College Football Playoff Rankings for Nov. 6, 2018 have been released by the selection committee, and Alabama remains in first place.
Alabama is followed by (2) Clemson, (3) Notre Dame, and (4) Michigan. Just outside the top four are (5) Georgia, (6) Oklahoma, (7) LSU, and (8) Washington State.
LSU, who lost to No. 1 Alabama 29-0 at home, dropped four spots to No. 7.
UCF remained in 12th and is still the highest ranked team from a Group of Five conference.
Michigan State (18), Auburn (24), and Washington (25) all entered the rankings this week, while Utah (15), Texas A&M (20), and Virginia (25) all dropped out.

The College Football Playoff Selection Committee will release their Top 25 rankings each week on Tuesday through Nov. 27.
On Sunday, Dec. 2, the College Football Playoff Selection Committee will announce the Playoff Semifinal pairings and semifinal bowl assignments. Those will be followed by the pairings for the remainder of the New Year’s Six bowl games.
These people seem to think there are only 25 teams in college football.
