The Colgate Raiders have released their 2023 football schedule via their official athletics website, and it includes a game at Syracuse.

Colgate is a member of the Patriot League in the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS). The school previously released their schedules for the 2021 and 2022 seasons in February.

Four of Colgate’s five non-conference opponents in 2023 were previously unannounced — Syracuse, Villanova, Penn, and Cornell.

Colgate will open the 2023 season on the road against the Syracuse Orange on Saturday, Sept. 2. The game will mark the 68th meeting between the two schools on the gridiron and the series is tied at 31-31-5.

The Raiders are also scheduled to play non-conference contests on the road at Villanova on Sept. 9 and at Holy Cross on Sept. 23, while Penn and Dartmouth will visit Andy Kerr Stadium in Hamilton, N.Y., on Sept. 16 and Oct. 14, respectively.

In Patriot League action in 2023, Colgate will host Bucknell, Lehigh, and Fordham and will travel to Holy Cross, Georgetown, and Lafayette.
