The Central Michigan Chippewas will play at Wisconsin in 2019 and at Northwestern in 2020, FBSchedules.com has learned.

Central Michigan will travel to face Wisconsin at Camp Randall Stadium in Madison on Sept. 7, 2019. The Chippewas will earn a $1 million guarantee for the game, according to a copy of the contract obtained from CMU via an open records request.

The 2019 meeting between Central Michigan and Wisconsin will be the first on the gridiron.

On Sept. 12, 2020, Central Michigan will take on Northwestern at Ryan Field in Evanston, Illinois. Per the contract, CMU will receive an $850,000 guarantee for the game.

In their first and only meeting back in 2010, Northwestern nipped Central Michigan 30-25 in Evanston.

CMU now has guarantee games set up in five of the next six seasons. This season, they play at Michigan State on Sept. 26. Other road games scheduled include Virginia (2016) and Michigan State (2018).

With the Big Ten’s commitment to discontinue the scheduling of FCS teams, you can expect a lot more MAC teams such as Central Michigan filling up their schedules.

So, the B-10 will pay MAC teams $850K + for games…..then in turn the MAC teams will pay 1-AA teams $300K or so for those games….
