The Chattanooga Mocs have scheduled future football games against Alabama and Tennessee, UTC announced today.
Chattanooga will travel to face the Alabama Crimson Tide on November 23, 2013. UTC is 0-11 all-time against Alabama. In their last meeting in 2009, the Tide beat the Mocs 45-0 in Tuscaloosa.
UTC will open the 2014 season on August 30 at Neyland Stadium in Knoxville against the Tennessee Volunteers. Tennessee leads the overall series 37-2-2. Although the two schools are located just over 100 miles apart, they haven’t played since 1969.
Chattanooga competes in the Southern Conference of the Football Championship Subdivision. The Mocs kick off the 2011 season on September 3 at Nebraska. In 2012, UTC opens the season at the USF Bulls.
Football Schedules:
i am excited! first college game ever attended was the uc upset in knoxville. looking forward to getting tickets.
why are fcs-fbs football games always at the fbs stadium? every time tennessee plays an fcs team its always at knoxville. i live in chattanooga and my favorite team in the fbs is tennessee, my favorite in the fcs is chattanooga. but tennessee should come to chattanooga to play so i dont have to drive 100 miles to see the game.
Stadium capacity is the major factor. Chattanooga’s stadium only holds a little over 20,000.
