The Central Connecticut Blue Devils have added games against Yale and American International to their future football schedules, FBSchedules.com has learned.
A copy of the contracts for games with Yale University and American International College were obtained from Central Connecticut State University (CCSU) via a state Freedom of Information Act request.
Northeast Conference (NEC) member Central Connecticut will travel to take on the Yale Bulldogs of the Ivy League at the Yale Bowl in New Haven, Conn., on October 5, 2024. Per the copy of the contract, Yale will pay Central Connecticut a $10,000 guarantee and will provide 1,000 complimentary tickets for the contest.
The 2024 Central Connecticut at Yale contest will mark the first-ever meeting between the two schools on the gridiron.
Yale is the third scheduled non-conference opponent for Central Connecticut in 2024. The Blue Devils are also scheduled to host the Fordham Rams on Sept. 28 and travel to face the Dartmouth Big Green on Oct. 19.
The Yale Bulldogs now have two scheduled non-conference opponents for the 2024 season. Yale is also scheduled to play at Holy Cross on Sept. 21.
The American International College (AIC) Yellow Jackets, members of the Northeast-10 Conference in Division II, will travel to play Central Connecticut at Arute Field in New Britain, Conn., on Sept. 6, 2025. The Yellow Jackets will receive a $10,000 guarantee and 250 complimentary tickets for playing the game, according to the contract copy.
Central Connecticut and American International first met in 1936 and have met a total of 47 times on the gridiron. In their most recent matchup in 1992, AIC defeated CCSU 40-12 to extend their lead in the series to 31-13-3.
American International is the third scheduled non-conference opponent for Central Connecticut in 2025. Other contests for the Blue Devils that season include the UConn Huskies on Aug. 30 and Fordham on Sept. 27, both on the road.
