The BYU Cougars have added the Weber State Wildcats to their 2012 football schedule, BYU announced this evening.
BYU will host Weber State at LaVell Edwards Stadium in Provo on September 8, 2012. In their two previous meetings, both in Provo, the Cougars defeated the Wildcats 45-14 (1973) and 48-3 (1979).
Weber State, a member of the Big Sky Conference in the FCS, finished the 2010 season 6-5.
The Cougars were previously slated to host Hawaii on September 8, but that game has been moved back to a date to be determined.
The addition of Weber State leaves BYU with only two games left to fill on their 2012 schedule. The Cougars open the season at home against Oregon State and also host Hawaii, Idaho and Utah State. BYU will travel to face Boise State, Georgia Tech, New Mexico State, Notre Dame, San Jose State and Utah.
Football Schedules:
This will probably be the one on BYUtv. We’ve got 11 now, so it could technically be done. Hopefully get one more decent home game though.
BYU could end up getting some backfilled Big 12 opponents if A&M successfully bolts to the SEC.
The mormons will dedicate the season to joe smith, polygamy, and marriage of cousins. What a gauntlet of games div2 weber state, idaho,
utah st, new mexico st, so much for their notre dame of the west mantra. what a bunch of cheating, lying hypocrites!
Honestly? Check your facts about polygamy and marriage of cousins before you make a fool of yourself. Mormons don’t practice either of those. I’m not even a Mormon and I can see straight through your ignorance. GIVE ME A BREAK.
Not only is what Andy said accurate, but the Cougars themselves have never confirmed that Idaho is a confirmed game for 2012. they said there were discussions and that it could possibly happen, but the Idaho home game isn’t a guarantee outside of 2011. Besides, perhaps you should look at the road schedule instead of showing your ignorance, unless Georgia Tech, Notre Dame, Boise State, and Utah aren’t impressive to you.
You know Pa must be a drunk Canes/Buckeye fan who is a bit jealous of a cleanly run program like BYU is….and BYU is not playing any D II schools..
PA move out of Utah if you dont like it here I look foward to all are utah teams playing each other I am a fan of utah schools byu will only get tonger the utes will be impressive utah state and are not afraid of anybody
