The Arkansas Razorbacks and the Rutgers Scarlet Knights have scheduled a 2012-13 home-and-home football series, the schools announced today.
Arkansas will host Rutgers at Donald W. Reynolds Stadium in Fayetteville on Sept. 22, 2012. On Sept. 21, 2013, the Razorbacks will travel to face the Scarlet Knights at High Point Solutions Stadium in Piscataway, NJ.
The 2012 game will be the first meeting between the two schools while the 2013 contest will mark the first time a team from the SEC has played in Piscataway.
The announcement of the series completes Arkansas’ 2012 football schedule. The Hogs are also slated to face Jacksonville State (Sept. 1), ULM (Sept. 8) and Tulsa (Nov. 3) in non-conference contests.
Arkansas is the fifth non-conference opponent on Rutgers’ 2012 football schedule. The Scarlet Knights travel to Tulane (Sept. 1) and host Kent State (Sept. 15), Army (Nov. 10) and Howard (date TBA).
With a seven-team Big East, Rutgers will play six non-conference games and will need one more opponent if they want to play 12 games.
