The Arkansas Razorbacks will continue to play football games in Little Rock through the 2024 season, which includes three regular-season SEC games and three spring football games.
The new agreement was announced on Thursday by the University of Arkansas and the Arkansas Department of Parks and Tourism.
The three SEC games at War Memorial Stadium will all be against the Missouri Tigers.
Arkansas will play the University of Missouri in a Southeastern Conference game at War Memorial Stadium during the 2019, 2021 and 2023 seasons, unless SEC scheduling necessitates playing another opponent. The matchup has traditionally been played on the Friday or Saturday following Thanksgiving.
Arkansas will also seek a waiver to hold their annual Red-White Spring Game in Little Rock. The SEC requires its member schools to obtain a waiver to hold Spring games off campus.
The new agreement between the University of Arkansas and the Arkansas Department of Parks and Tourism also includes “mutually agreed upon stadium facility improvements and enhancements to be made prior to the 2019 regular season game at War Memorial Stadium as well as ticket sales and revenue benchmarks for SEC games.”
Arkansas is scheduled to host Ole Miss in Little Rock this season on Saturday, Oct. 13.
The Razorbacks first played in Little Rock in 1901, 46 years before War Memorial Stadium opened. Arkansas has an overall record of 168-66-4 (.714) in Little Rock.
